In today’s world recycling is no longer sufficient, as a business we must do our best to reuse our cardboard waste as much as possible.
In fact, we do our best to pack orders re-using materials from other boxes we received. Currently, over 70% of the packing materials that we use to pack your orders come from re-used materials.
How does it work?
The process starts by saving all the boxes and packing materials that comes with our bulk orders, and during peak season we also collect cardboard waste from local grocery stores.
Our warehouse team is trained to cut cardboard waste in order to make it fit the items ordered by our customers. They always ensure the re-used cardboard is thick enough to properly protect what’s in the box.
Taking it to the next level
The goal is not to stop the “re-using” initiative but to keep it going further than just our walls. For this reason, we reinforce our re-used cardboard boxes by covering the outer surface with packing tape. This addtion has three positive outcomes:
- It’s very unlikely for the box to be damaged while in transit
- The box is “good looking”
- It can be safely re-used by the receiver.
Play your part
If you are a seller, you can do your part by re-using our boxes to dispatch your orders, all you have to do is to place one of your sold items in the box and stick your shipping label to cover ours.
